CUSTOMER COMMENTS:

  • Michael M. - Sherman Oaks CA - While I thought the [Phil Pustejovsky - Freedom Mentor] program was great in the beginning I never did get any leads. This was after working very hard at it too.

  • Tony A. - Salem CT - It's all about how much money you have on your credit cards to let them access .... It ranged from $10,000 to $40,000. So you have to buy your way in and then according to some reports I have read there will eventually be a monthly charge ($200) on top of that to continue to use the tools they provide. Steer clear of this guy and his so called team of coaching.

[Editor note: we have said it over and over - NO real estate training is worth thousands, or tens of thousands.]

  • Corey M. Lomita CA - I did this [Phil Pustejovsky - Freedom Mentor program]. It was ridiculously expensive. They ask for a ton of money up front for "access" to all their resources. After my large deposit, the first three months were free, but then it was an additional $200/month to maintain your status. The group calls/coaching placed a ton of pressure on just getting any deal under contract and figuring everything else out afterward. If you did have a property locked down you kind of got dismissed on the calls.

[Editor note: Several of the "gurus" lead potential customers to believe they will finance their deals, but they always leave themselves an out by using a phrase like "Upon approval". To avoid putting up the money, they simply find reasons to not approve of the deal. Always look for such catch phrases before buyng into the hype]

  • Simone K - I am also a former student who spent $6,000 for the [Phil Pustejovsky - Freedom Mentor] course. Initially I believed the program would assist funding their students cost with acquisition and rehab which is the excuse I used for be willing to spend $6,000. The term "We buy houses fast cash" was absolutely misleading to me, because I wasn't given the opportunity to offer "cash" to my client instead I was encouraged to put her home on the MLS for several months which she was not willing to do. In addition to spending the $6,000 you're obligated to a 50/50 split until you reach a $500,000 goal, and yes you do have to pay an additional $200.00 per month to stay in the "program".

[Editor note: If the people behind a real estate investing program want half your proceeds ON TOP OF the huge entry fee and large monthly fee, their legitmacy should be strongly questioned.]

  • Munya B. - Riverside - My assessment after 5 years of this, is you are better of keeping your cash. I would rather loose the money myself than have Phil loose it for me. Phil is supposedly-suppose to already know what marketing techniques work, but this is not the case as my marketing money was used to test out marketing that never worked over a span of +5 years, yes I took massive action, plus spent a lot, and nothing to show for it. The coaching calls are there to keep you paying, every month at best, lol. Yes I understand all markets are different and strategies different but the point of getting a mentor is to at least help or aid with stuff that works, this is not the case with Phil Pustejovsky

  • Dave L. - Chicago IL - Possible reasons just occurred to me why Freedom Mentor refused my proposal to send them a check by mail: 1) to avoid giving me a physical address of the operation 2) to avoid violating federal mail fraud laws Why else would a legitimate business refuse to accept payment by check through the mail?

[EDITOR'S NOTE: We suspect it has more to do with the billing of the $200/month fee. For that they need credit card info, not a check. If you do not pay by card, they cannot charge you those fees]

  • Lisa W. Nashville TN - I was a FREEDOM MENTOR student a year and a half ago, paid 7K for the program. It's legit, but you don't get personalized coaching at that price, maybe if you pay more. I was very diligent for about 3 months, was on lots of calls and made three offers on houses. The coaches were not there when I needed immediate personal help from them to back me up and I got directly opposing advice depending on what coach I talked to on group phone calls. After that initial 3 months of working so hard and then the coaches not being there when I needed them, I caved and no one there reached out or even knew who I was probably. I was contacted when my waiver was no longer in effect and the fee was supposed to go through by the billing people, however. No way to reach Phil or access the calls or program resources without paying that $200/month fee every month.

[Editor note: Unqualified mentoring is not worth paying for. One program, the not-for-profit "The Simple Man's Guide to Real Estate" (under $150 COMPLETE) not only provides quality coaching by actual investors, but it is also FREE and unlimited, as their mentors are volunteers. If not satisfied, it did not cost you an arm and a leg. So there ARE legit, low cost programs available.

A Low Cost, More Effective Choice

Of all the programs we are familiar with, "The Simple Man's Guide to Real Estate" is the most comprehensive and effective of all the courses available today. You owe it to yourself to take a look...
